Install EV charging
This proposal asks owners to approve installing electric vehicle charging points on common property, along with the switchboard, cabling and load management equipment needed to make them work safely. Because this changes how common property looks and is used, and counts as an upgrade to it, the law requires a special resolution: that means it needs a strong majority in favour, not just more yes votes than no. The proposal also sets out how the cost of the works will be shared among owners. If it passes, the owners corporation will be authorised to go ahead with the installation at the estimated cost stated in the motion.
Motion
That the owners corporation, by special resolution, approve the installation of [NUMBER] electric vehicle charging points and the associated switchboard, cabling and load management equipment on the common property of 48 Orrong Crescent, at an estimated cost of [COST]; and that the fees for the works be levied ON LOT LIABILITY.
