Chargers would go on the common property and draw power that everyone's levies pay for unless the building decides otherwise, so there are really two questions: whether they go in, and who pays for running them. This proposal answers the first: how many chargers, roughly what they cost, which fund pays, and that the owners corporation maintains them. NSW treats EV charging as a sustainability upgrade, so it passes unless owners holding 50% or more of the unit entitlement vote against it. Before the vote, the meeting has to consider the cost including running costs, who will own, install and maintain the chargers, and which lots can use them. Who pays for the electricity would be dealt with separately by a change to the by-laws.
